This year's "Back to School" is unlike any other!
If you suffer from a lack of resources for your school . . . or if you’re frustrated because your school never seems to have enough . . . then the Every School Needs a Partner Challenge is just for you.
You can now “borrow my brain” as we hang out for seven days and get your school a partner.
There's a cost to not having a partner. Some folks complain when they don't have enough for their schools. Some look to the PTA or crowdfunding sites. Some try tired fundraisers.
These solutions no longer work for most of us:
What happens if you just do nothing? If you keep just keep doing what you’ve been doing? Nothing changes. Your school suffers. Your staff suffers. Your students suffer. You suffer.
How I Can Get More for Your School
But here's an an answer that works. Over 10 years ago the church I work for partnered with an under-resourced Title 1 school. This one partnership has meant more than $10,000 in value for the school EACH school year. The partnership operates similar to a PTA and provides resources for teachers and classrooms, raises money for school-wide projects, and supplies volunteers for reading, math, and mentoring.
We’ve taken this model of school-church partnerships throughout our community and now every Title 1 school in our city has at least one church partner and most have two.
Just a couple months ago I had an idea: what if we helped every schools find a church or business partner? What if we could show schools how to get a partner that can provide them with tremendous value each school year?
So we created the Every School Needs a Partner Challenge!
Here’s what one teacher said about her school's partnership:
“As a teacher I can’t give enough thanks for all you do for our school. These new headphones with mics came just in time for testing!”
And here's how a partnership is impacting another school and church:
“I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. A teacher friend of mine gave me (your book) several weeks ago to read because he thought it sounded like some ideas I had shared with him about ministry. It has inspired and encouraged me in a way that I haven't been inspired or encouraged for a while”
It’s Your Turn

These solutions no longer work for most of us:
- * School-wide fundraisers are messy (bounced checks) and time-consuming (sending out catalogs, students nervously going door to door, the overworked PTA president frantically tallying up checks and orders).
- * PTAs and PTOs are dwindling.
- * A growing number of districts restrict sites like donors choose out of a fear their districts will be perceived as not providing what their schools need
What happens if you just do nothing? If you keep just keep doing what you’ve been doing? Nothing changes. Your school suffers. Your staff suffers. Your students suffer. You suffer.
